なやまされる【悩まされる】

1 〔負担に感じる〕 be burdened; be put upon; 〔迷惑を被る〕 be put to annoyance; be troubled [annoyed, afflicted, distressed, dogged] 《by…》.

●ひどく悩まされる be put to great annoyance 《by…》; be sorely tried 《by…》; be excruciated 《with cares》; suffer greatly [a lot] from 《labor shortage》; be sorely afflicted 《with gout》

・道路の振動に悩まされる be afflicted by road vibrations (due to passing trucks)

・いたずら電話に悩まされる be plagued by crank calls

・一晩じゅう蚊に悩まされる be afflicted by mosquitoes all night long

・悪臭に悩まされる be annoyed by a bad smell

・環境汚染に悩まされる be troubled by environmental pollution.
